Hind-o-Pak Dosti Aalmi Mushaira 2007 by Aligarh Alumni Association, Houston Houston, November 10, 2007: Another successful international mushaira organized by Aligarh Alumni Association entertained the Urdu adab-loving crowd of Houston. Rahat Indori, Khahmakhan Hyderabadi, Zakia Ghazal, Professor Akhter Shumar were among the renowned poets from India and Pakistan. Syed Haneef Akhgar was the Sadar-e-Mushaira. The mushaira was held in University of Houston Auditorium. The program was also telecasted on two big screens in the hall for better viewing of the large audience. Other popular poets included Aqeel Ashraf, Khalid Khwaja, Ishrat Afreen, Dr. Zafar Taqvi, Naseem Jalalvi, Dr. Nausha Asrar, Dr. Shagufta Riyaz, Salmaan Jalali, Basheer Jaffery, Ayaaz Mufti, and Mohammed Abid. Syed Abbas Raza. Nazim-e-Mushaira was Perwaiz Jafri.
